ORDERING, DELIVERY & INSTALLATION

Please find below our recommendations for site preparation, what happens after you place an order and installation of your hot tub.

Ordering procedure

  • After making an enquiry by email or phone, we will discuss your individual hot tub package including any site issues, special delivery needs and plumbing requirements.
  • A deposit invoice will be issued and construction will begin on receipt of this payment.
  • We aim to complete all Classic tubs as soon as possible, however, depending on seasonal demand, this could be 3-4 months.
  • Your build slot will only be confirmed when the deposit is paid. Should your circumstance change, all deposits are fully refundable.
  • The tub will be shipped once the final payment has been received.

Site Preparation

The basic site requirement for your hot tub is a flat, solid area to sit the tub and heater package. Concrete, or decking are the most suitable. The tub and heater don’t necessarily have to be adjacent but you should consider that any length of uninsulated piping will cause heat loss and if using the Multi-fuel burner, it requires a steep and constant angle in the return pipe so the closer, the better.

Allow for the diameter of your tub, plus any other requirements, like the heating equipment and steps, as well as approach and movement around the tub.

If you are siting your tub on a deck then allow for the weight of the tub, people inside and likely bystanders when engineering the design.

This is also a good time to think about landscaping the site. You may wish to incorporate the tub into a deck that offers easy access as well as a cover for any equipment. While we are happy to supply steps and cedar surrounds for the pipes and heater units, we feel that good landscaping will provide the best and most cost effective long term solution.

For the Classic electrical packages you will only need an exterior 15amp socket within 4m of the tubs equipment to connect the controller to.

Delivery

Exact delivery quotes are available on request but as a guide, for standard tubs allow $250 to $400, or Delux packages $350 to $500, for delivery to accessible North Island sites in the main centres or any North Island Mainfreight depot. South Island delivery costs are continually changing so please enquire for the latest prices. Please enquire for all other islands or rural addresses as additional delivery costs may apply.

It does not include special delivery needs arising from limited access, such as crane hire. If you think you may need special consideration for delivery then please discuss it with us as we may be able to advise how best to proceed.

In the occasional situation where it is not possible to deliver an assembled tub to the site, we can offer kit set and on-site build options. This comes with additional costs so should be thought of as the last resort.

Installation

You should make every effort to ensure your site is ready before your tub arrives as only moving it once reduces the chance of any damage. It is also advised that if the tub is part of a larger project, you aim to install it as late as possible to avoid any knocks and dents suffered on the building site.

Installation of our Delux models simply requires 4 barrel couplings to be screwed together to connect the equipment to the tub. For all other electric packages we will discuss the plumbing requirements and complete as much as possible before your tub departs the workshop, so you should only have to connect two pipes or have the minimum of gluing left to do. For Multi-fuel burner packages, you will simply have to connect two pipes between the tub and the burner.
