HEATING OPTIONS

As well as choosing which size hot tub best suits your needs, it is also important to select the best heating option from the many available. At Mason Ridge through trying most of them, we now offer what we consider the two best options to compliment our Classic tubs.

Masonridge Electrical Heating Options

Electrical Heating Package

This is the most common way of heating your tub and also the easiest to control. Our package comes with a heater/controller unit, a pump and a cartridge filter. These are backed by a 2 year parts and 12 month labour warranty. The package can be conveniently pre-assembled on a small pad, so it is easy to install and only requires an external 15amp socket for connection unless otherwise stated.

This heating package is great when you want the hot tub continuously hot and ready. The controller is very simple to setup and allows for easy control over the filtering times and heating of your tub. It is also possible to control other optional systems such as a heat pump, surround sound, LED lights, a blower or an ozone generator if desired.

The Quietflo circulation pump is robust and one of the quietest on the market and ideal for keeping the water hot and well filtered. If you require more flow through the return jets then we also offer 2 speed pumps for a few dollars more. Because you are pumping the water, it is possible to have some separation between your tub and the heating unit by installing well insulated pipes if required.

The water is filtered through a simple and efficient cartridge filter which only requires a clean every month or so.

Multi Fuel Burner

Multi-fuel Burner Package

We believe this is the best alternative to electricity as it offers both gas and wood burning in one unit. The burner is made in Dunedin and has been used for heating tubs for many years without issue. The energy it supplies on LPG or dry wood is up to 36kW/hr, enough to heat a tub from cold on demand. It has no moving parts and comes with a 5 year warranty.

This is the heating package to choose if you don’t want to, or can’t, use electricity or you need to heat your tub quickly for occasional use. It is great if your hot tub is being installed at the bach because you can heat it on arrival and don't have to keep it hot when you are not there to use it.

You are also able to keep you hot tub free of chemicals if you so desire, simply refresh and reheat the water as necessary.

The unit has no moving parts and is able to live outside without issue, so long-term the costs are almost non-existent.

ALTERNATIVE HEATING SOLUTION

Heat pumps are also available and can be delivered as part of the installation or added later if the heating demand makes it a worthwhile investment.

If you are thinking of using an alternative heating solution, feel free to contact us for advice. We have tried many methods ourselves and are only too happy to discuss what could work for you.

Custom projects, especially large tubs, may require a custom heating solution. This will be discussed should you make a custom enquiry.
