Custom Builds

While it can often seem difficult when things don’t fit nicely into a box, talk to us about your requirements and you might be surprised how easy it all becomes.

At Mason Ridge, we are often asked to supply a Custom Hot Tub and it is something we embrace. Because each length of timber is hand-picked, cut from rough and finished in our workshop, we are able to easily cater for any custom project.

Whether it’s to fit a specific space or because it needs to squeeze through a doorway to reach its final destination, we are happy to accommodate your specific needs.

To get you started we have dedicated this page to making your life a little easier by covering some of the common questions.

If you need a custom diameter then any size is possible up to 2400mm. Just tell us what you want and we will make it happen. While the main focus of our custom Hot Tubs are height and diameter, we can also make oval tubs to order.

We deliver anywhere in New Zealand, including North and South Islands, Great Barrier, Waiheke Island, etc.

North Island (New Zealand) - Delivery to an accessible site is $350 for all mainland urban centres and Toll depots.

South Island (New Zealand) - Delivery costs vary dependant on your tub package and your location. Please enquire for exact pricing.

Please enquire for rural and island deliveries as these may involve additional costs.

Custom Scenarios:

Tauranga

Problem: The only easy access to a site was through the house and out French doors that only opened to 1150mm.

Solution: We made the tub shorter by 50mm and lowered the seats by 20mm at no cost, then rolled it through the house.

Lowry Bay

Problem: The site was on the upper floor of a hillside house.

Solution: We delivered the tub at the same time that a crane was needed for other tasks so there was no additional cost.

Wellington

Problem: A client had a built in hot tub that needed replacing. As it had been in place for many years, decking and other structures had been constructed around it and getting a new tub sited was not possible.

Solution: We made an individual kit set package and built it onsite for a small additional fee.

Christchurch

Problem: The site was rural and a delivery truck could not be used to deliver an assembled tub.

Solution: The client visited our workshop for a detailed briefing and we provided a kit set package. There were a few phone calls during the build but overall the client found it relatively straightforward to construct the tub.
