There are a number of different ways to heat your hot tub, depending on the size of the tub and how and where it is installed. We will work with you to help choose the most suitable solution for your individual situation.

As a rule we recommend electric heating and filtration for installations that will have frequent use and the multi-fuel burner for installations that have more occasional use.

This will depend on the size of the tub, however as a guide the multi-fuel burner will raise the temperature of 1000 litres of water by up to 30°C in an hour.

Most people prefer the water temperature to be between 38-40°C. With the normal body temperature being 37°C, any great deviation in water temperature will quickly become uncomfortable.

Cedar is ideal for the manufacture of hot tubs as it is naturally anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and contains an oil that is a repellent to bugs. The water needs to be treated with a suitable pool chemical unless it is frequently replaced.

Unless otherwise requested, all our tubs are delivered with a coat of CD50 oil. It is recommended that further coats are applied to your tub as necessary to maintain the look that you desire. CD50 is usually available at your local hardware store.

Cedar hot tubs are easy to look after and will give you years of pleasure if you follow a few simple guidelines. A hot tub maintenance guide can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.

Cedar has been used for making tubs for centuries, it naturally swells when wet and eliminates any leaks. Because of this, it is completely normal to experience some leakage when your hot tub is first installed, however this will rectify once the wood has swollen properly and formed a tight seal.

You will need to treat the water in your hot tub using a suitable pool chemical. However, if you are only using your tub for several days at a time and draining it regularly, no chemicals are required.

There are a multitude of products available on the market today and it can all be a bit confusing. To keep it simple and make it work, we can supply starter kits that are chlorine, bromine or OxyShock based. They all use the same pH, Alkalinity and hardness balancers, so only differ in the sanitiser. Talk to us about which might suit your needs best.

The tub should be placed on stable, even ground. A concrete, paved or wooden pad is ideal, however compacted gravel or chips are also suitable.

Please note, the price does not include site preparation or landscaping.
